Who is OneFuture for?

OneFuture is for everyone who is new to Switzerland and needs help. Whether you would be “classified” a refugee, migrant or sans- papier doesn’t matter to us. If you need help please don’t hesitate to reach out to our community.

What kinds of help can I get from OneFuture?

OneFuture is a community of people who want to help. Each person helps the way they can/ want. Our offering as a community currently has a wide range; from help with our language to help with the Swiss legal system. There are also locals who are there for social meet ups. We are very open to add any kind of help that is desired.

How can I get in touch with a helper?

By using our platform, you can see all the available helpers and simply choose one suits your needs and availability. Just click on his or her profile and start a conversation with them.

Are there any fees involved?

There are absolutely no fees involved at any given time.

How can I become a helper?

And what does it mean to be one? Simply fill out our registration form on the website (takes about 3 minutes) and get started! There is no commitment or initial effort involved: you just indicate that people can contact you if they need your help.

Where should we meet up?

We highly advise you to meet in a public place, meaning never to meet at a helpers or students place or anywhere you don’t feel safe. For example, choose a friendly coffee house, a library, university or one of our partner hubs (resources → meeting points).

How can I contact someone if a problem comes up?

If you have an emergency, call the police (117), an ambulance (144) or fire department (118) depending on the matter. If any question or obscurity comes up during a meet up please give us feedback immediately.

What if I have a helper profile but am currently on vacation/ don’t have time?

You don’t have to delete your profile, simply put your status on absent and you can reactivate it whenever you want.

Are the profiles of helpers verified?

Our team sees every profile that is being created. If there are doubts about a person’s integrity the new profile owner is being contacted by a team member. We do our best to ensure verification and will add more features in the future to further the process.
